Windows XP inside last year of support................... Do you still use it ? Time to think ahead.

Probably the most used operating system ever which so many of us loved is getting the axe from April 8th 2014 (364 days to go) What this means for us mere mortals is that there will be no patches to fix security holes. In all reality the game is up if you are running applications that developers say only works on XP now is the time to get them into the real world and they need to be updating their products or you will be left vulnerable.

For a list of other products getting the chop in the next 18 months including Office 2003 click here

If you are still running XP and need advice call us on 01228 808950 or by email to support@utd-comms.co.uk

Office 365 and Windows XP

Microsoft will end all support for Windows XP on 8 April 2014 - please upgrade all Windows XP work stations to Windows 8 or Windows 7 prior to this date.

While Office 365 will not block connections from fully patched Windows XP computers after 8 April 2014, we can’t guarantee connectivity to the service. Please note that Windows XP work stations that have not deployed all service packs and automatic updates run a much higher risk of Office 365 connectivity issues when support for Windows XP ends.

The above information has been in circulation for quite a while now, are you prepared have you taken notice or are your fingers crossed ?
